Facebook Pixel Setup Made Simple
Facebook Pixel setup isn’t the most difficult thing to do. It sounds and looks far more intimidating than it actually is.You’ll need to go to your Facebook Business Manager’s “Business Settings.”
Under Data Sources, select Pixels, then Add.
Next, you will name the Facebook Pixel, then click Create.
Now that your Facebook Pixel is created, you’ll have to sync it with your website. There are several ways to do this. You can use an Integration/ Tag Manager, Manually Install, or email your website admin. I strongly suggest option #1 (or option #3 if someone manages your site for you).
If your site is on any of these platforms, it will make setting up your Pixel extremely simple.
However, if your website is using a platform not listed, such as a manually coded HTML website, you’ll have to add the manual code between the <head> tags.
After the Pixel Code is added, follow the steps for your platform. In this example, I’ll display WordPress.
Once you’ve completed steps 1 & 2, test and check your pixel status. If your Pixel status isn’t active immediately, don’t panic or think you’ve done something wrong. Sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes to activate.
You’ll see a green light under status.
